Another Temple Vandalised, Locals find Damaged Idols of Navagraha in Shamshabad

Hyderabad: A temple has been vandalised in Hyderabad’s Shamsabad area, where idols of Navagraha were desecrated by a few unidentified miscreants, said the police on Tuesday. The temple is located in Airport colony in Shamshabad.
After finding the idols broken, locals gathered outside the temple to protest, demanding for the justice. Meanwhile, a police team has reached the spot, and took control of the situation at the site. A probe had been launched to in the matter to identify the accused.
A similar incident took place in October, where a Muthyalamma temple idol in Kurmaguda were damaged. This triggered a massive public outrage. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Mahankali division, an individual was nabbed by the locals under the suspicion of defacing the idols. He was later handed him over to the police under Market police station limits.
