Teen Attacked With Beer Bottle And Sickle By Gang For Asking Them To Drive Carefully
Tirunelveli: A minor belonging to the Scheduled Caste category was allegedly brutally attacked by a gang of a dominant caste (MBC) in Melapattam Village in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The 17-year-old boy was bleeding from the back side of his ear and a deep cut was seen on his leg.
According to the sources, an argument had broken out between the victim and the gang over their reckless driving of a car near his house early on Monday. The parents of the victim, a second-year polytechnic student, allege that in the evening, their son was alone in the house.
The same gang members came along with some others and entered the house. They allegedly attacked the 17-year-old boy with a beer bottle and a sickle. The gang also damaged household items before fleeing the spot. The victim was later rushed to Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital and the local police is investigating the matter.
