‘A B.Ed. college and a transport nagar will be established in the Balodabazar’ : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur- Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated and performed bhumipoojan for multiple development projects at Dussehra Ground in Balodabazar on November 8. He announced the establishment of a B.Ed. College and a Transport Nagar in the district. Shri Sai dedicated a series of development works worth Rs 60.20 crore to the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, including the inauguration of 32 projects worth Rs 27.88 crore and the bhumipoojan of 16 projects worth Rs 32.32 crore.
The Chief Minister distributed sanction letters for houses to 2,100 beneficiaries and handed over keys to 51 recipients under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He also honoured 51 youth participants from the “Hum Honge Kamyaab” campaign. Farmers presented the Chief Minister with a basket of paddy to express their gratitude for the procurement at Rs 3100 per quintal and up to 21 quintals per acre.
In his address, Shri Sai praised Balodabazar as a land of saints, leaders, and heroes where diverse communities live harmoniously. He stated that the district has seen steady development since its formation in 2012 under the guidance of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh. Emphasising his government’s commitment to progress and welfare, the Chief Minister highlighted recent efforts, including a new industrial policy and a streamlined single-window system for industrial approvals.
The Chief Minister shared that under the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the state government has approved 18 lakh houses through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with 8.42 lakh already sanctioned by the Central Government. He added that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, eligible women beneficiaries receive Rs 1,000 monthly through direct bank transfers (DBT). The state is set to begin paddy procurement on November 14, with arrangements in place to facilitate a smooth process for farmers.
Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma spoke on the district’s progress since its inception, noting that Chief Minister Shri Sai upholds Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s philosophy of Antyodaya, ensuring government programs benefit every citizen. He highlighted that the “double-engine government” is committed to rapid development in agriculture, healthcare, education, infrastructure, water, and cultural preservation.
Commerce and Industries Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan, MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, MLA Guru Shri Khushwant Saheb, Chhattisgarh Women’s Commission member Smt. Laxmi Verma, Janpad Panchayat President Smt. Suman Yogesh Verma, former MLA Smt. Laxmi Baghel, state Vice President of Bharat Scouts and Guides Shri Vijay Kesherwani, Collector Shri Deepak Soni, SP Shri Vijay Agrawal, along with local public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
