fake job: 2 held for duping 25 aspirants

Hyderabad: Two persons, identified as Abhishek Reddy and T Chinnamma, who were allegedly involved in cheating several Individuals with false promises of providing jobs in foreign countries were nabbed by the Task Force sleuths.

Police said that two laptops, five phones, agreement papers, fake visa approval papers, and an SUV worth 25 lakh was seized from the accused.

Accused Abhishek Reddy previously went to Singapore on a job visa. After developing some contacts there, he decided to start a job consultancy and together with Chinnamma set up an office in Himayathnagar. “The job aspirants were offered high salaries, a quick visa process, and job appointments. The accused also offered jobs to individuals, even if they did not have the necessary qualifications. However, they issued fake or invalid visa documents to approximately 25 people,” police said.

The accused collected 83 lakh from the victims by giving false promises and later started to avoid them. Upon knowing that a cheating case was pending against them at Narayanguda police station, the accused shifted their office to Alwal, where another case was registered against them at the local police station.

Using the victims’ money, the accused started to lead a lavish life. Reddy purchased an SUV and even cleared his EMIS.
