Man Takes Early Retirement To Take Care of Ailing Wife, She Dies At His Farewell
Kota: In a heart-wrenching incident, a woman died in Rajasthan’s Kota during the farewell party of his husband, who took early retirement to take care of her. The 50-year-old ailing woman fell unconscious at the party and later died. The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media with people expressing grief over what happened.
Devendra Sandal, manager at a central warehouse, took voluntary retirement from government service so that he could focus on the health of his ailing wife, Deepika. The department held a farewell party for Sandal at his office in Dakaniya area in Kota, reported Times of India.
As per the video, the couple was honoured, and greeted a the ceremony with people cheering them and clapping. One of the persons could be heard saying, “A man can best afford his social and official responsibility only when his wife supports him”.
Both Deepkia and Devendra could be seen smiling, but 40 seconds later, the woman is seen trembling, seeking support. People present there shouted “what happened?”, while some said she was feeling dizzy and asked for water.
Meanwhile, Deepika loses her grip and collapses her head down on the table. Soon after this, she was rushed to hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
According to those acquainted with the family, the couple was childless and the woman had been suffering from cardiac ailments for several years. Sandal took voluntary retirement three years before his time to take care of Deepika.
