Leave peace, Ukraine brought this secret weapon to kill Putin’s soldiers

Talks are going on to stop the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. America and Ukraine have already talked about offering a 30-day ceasefire. After this, a phone conversation is going to take place between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin today.

In such a situation, while there are talks of peace talks, on the other hand Ukraine is leaving no stone unturned to increase its military power. There have been reports of the use of drones earlier, but now Ukraine has fielded a new version of its homemade Neptune cruise missile, which is capable of attacking at long distances.

Able to mark accurately

Ukraine has recently successfully tested its new long-range cruise missile ‘Long Neptune’ and it has already been used against Russia in war. Giving information about this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that his army has achieved significant success in the missile program.

Zelensky said that we now have a new Ukrainian missile, which is capable of hitting targets with precision. Its range is up to 1000 kilometers i.e. 620 miles. He expressed his gratitude to the scientists, manufacturers and soldiers who developed this missile.

What is Long Neptune missile?

The Long Neptune missile is a larger and upgraded version of Ukraine’s R-360 Neptune anti-ship missile. It is a truck-launched subsonic missile, which was initially designed to attack only maritime targets, but Ukraine modified it to make it capable of targeting land targets. It has been developed by Ukrainian defense manufacturer ‘Luch Design Bureau’.

Last year, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustam Umerov said that the production of Neptune missiles has been increased and now it has been upgraded for long-range attacks. Earlier this missile could attack up to about 200 miles, but now its range has increased to 1000 kilometers.

Attacks on important Russian targets

Ukraine has used the Neptune missile to attack important Russian targets in the past. In 2022, Ukraine destroyed Russia’s Black Sea Fleet’s flagship warship ‘Moskva’ with this missile. Apart from this, this missile has also been used on Russia’s state-of-the-art air defense batteries and oil terminals.

Sources are saying that the Long Neptune missile was used to attack an oil refinery in the Russian city of Tuapse last week. This refinery was located 300 miles away from the war zone. It is believed that this attack was carried out to damage Russia’s energy supply and weaken its economy.
