Know about the judge who said that ‘grabbing a girl’s breasts is not rape’

In an important case, Allahabad High Court judge Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra made a comment in which he said that if a person forcibly grabs the breast of a young woman and breaks the string of her pyjama, then it will not be considered rape. That is, he will not be considered guilty under the rape section

 

Instead of 376, he will be punished under section 354-B, which is included in the category of serious sexual crimes. Justice Ram Manohar Mishra was born on 6 November 1964. He completed his graduation in law in 1985. Then he did post graduation in law in 1987. In 1990, he joined Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service as a Munsif.

 

He was promoted to the Higher Judicial Service in 2005. He was appointed as District and Sessions Judge in 2019. Before his promotion here, he served in Baghpat and Aligarh districts. He also worked as the Director of JTRI and District and Sessions Judge in Lucknow.

Lower court’s comment related to Yogi Adityanath removed

In March 2024, the Allahabad High Court has removed the order given by the lower court judge, in which he had said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is a suitable example of the concept given by the Greek philosopher Plato. Some decisions related to women

During the hearing of a rape case in 2023, it was said that the rape victim or girl is not an accomplice. Such things and insistence on corroborating her testimony is indeed an insult to a woman.

While hearing a case in 2024, the bench of Allahabad High Court said that it is almost impossible for a woman from a middle class family to arrange even one meal in a meager amount of Rs 2500. In such a situation, the amount of her subsistence allowance should be increased to Rs 5000 per month. The court made this comment on the petition of a woman from Chandauli.

The ongoing Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute in Mathura is being heard by Justice Ram Manohar Mishra’s bench. The next hearing of this case has been scheduled for April 3.
