What demands did Imran Masood make in Parliament?
Congress MP Imran Masood has demanded from the government that Allahabad is about 700 km away from Saharanpur, where there is a court too, but there is no direct train to it. In such a situation, a train should be run. Vande Bharat train should be run between Saharanpur and Lucknow via Aligarh, so that students studying in AMU can also take advantage of it.
The logic behind renaming the station
He said that the government has brought the Rapid Rail to Meerut, so I request that it be brought to Saharanpur, which will reduce the pressure on Delhi to a great extent. Saharanpur is a historical city, Maa Shakumbhari Devi resides there. I request that Saharanpur Railway Station be named after Maa Shakumbhari Devi.
Imran Masood says that along with naming Saharanpur station after Mata Shakambhari Devi, he has demanded to name Deoband station as Maulana Hussain Ahmed Madni station. While making the Deoband demand, his mic was turned down. Imran Masood has shared another video in which he is making the Deoband demand in the Parliament.
